An analogy to a diagnosis for “Clinical Depression” and “Anxiety Disorder” would be a diagnosis for “chest pain” and “headache”. Headache and chest pain are symptoms, not diseases. You need to know the underlying mechanisms in order to diagnose a disease. However, this is not possible with psychological or psychiatric diagnosis.
