Many psychologists associate high functioning depression with persistent depressive disorder. This is a long-term depression. Although people with high functioning depression don’t feel as helpless or as depressed as those with clinical depression do, their depression can severely impact their quality of living. They lose interest in social events and with their family. High functioning depressives will be social when they are needed and will continue to go to school and work. They will then withdraw from their responsibilities once they have finished with them. Here are seven signs that you might have high functioning depression.
